Products Made here, and made with others.

Products.

Things I make, and a way to make one together.

Everything on the shelf is designed, made, and finished here, and ready to order. Further down is the story behind each one, and what it looks like to develop a product with me.

Behind the shelf

Where each one came from.

WMM Stop!

A doorstop good enough to leave out on the mantel.

Most doorstops are rubber wedges you kick under a door and forget. This one started as the Thud Stop: part doorstop, part mantel object, part useful lump with a personality.

It is machined from aluminum, so it has real weight, and it goes through the booth in small runs. The same shape reads loud or quiet depending on the finish. Black Speckle disappears into a room. Pink and Purple does not.

WMM Short Shoe Horn

Getting a heel into a shoe without the morning wrestling match.

The shape is a hyperbolic paraboloid, which is a fancy way of saying it cups the heel and stays stiff without being thick.

They are pressed here with a machined mold and a hydraulic press, then left raw or powder coated. Eight finishes so far.

WMM Low Stacking Stool

A seat that is also a side table, a plant perch, and a small tower when nobody is sitting.

The Low Stacking Stool came out of the Thud family at Stunt Doubles. Bent, welded steel legs, a selected wood seat, satin hardwax on top and powder coat underneath.

The real design work is in the stack. The legs nest so three stools turn into one object instead of a pile.

Made with you

Bring an idea, a sketch, or a brand.

I can help develop the object, decide the color and finish, make the prototypes, and carry it into a production run. It stays your product. I bring the making, the color, and an opinion when you want one.

Designers and small brands are the usual partners. If the finish is part of what makes the product, it's probably a good fit.
