Finishing Powder coat and Cerakote, objects to bicycles.
Red powder coated machined parts on the bench

Bring me the object and tell me what it needs to do.

Powder coat and Cerakote, by hand on Vashon.

I finish furniture, hardware, lamps, art, prototypes, and bicycle frames in the booth on Vashon. Send me a spec and I'll match it. If the color isn't settled yet, start with color and design direction.

What comes in

Four ways into the booth.

01

Objects

Furniture frames and legs, knobs and pulls, lamps, sculpture, and prototypes. One piece or a handful.

02

Bicycles

Frames and forks in steel, aluminum, titanium, and carbon. Single colors, fades, masking, and lettering.

03

Production runs

One finish, developed once and carried through every piece of a run.

04

The Trust Fall

Hand over an object, give up the brief, and let me do what it wants.

Objects

Pricing for objects.

Steel, aluminum, brass, and titanium, in powder coat or Cerakote. Send photos, sizes, and the finish you want, and I'll send back a price before anything starts.

  • Small partsfrom $75
  • Hardware$150 to $400+
  • Furniture and home objects$150 to $600+
  • Lamps and design objects$100 to $350

$75 minimum. Rush work, when I can fit it, adds 25 to 50 percent. Bicycle pricing is on the Bicycles page.

Production runs

Some projects start as one finish and turn into a run.

If you're bringing a product to market, I'll develop the finish with you, test it on real parts, and carry it through production. Every piece in the run matches the sample we signed off on together. Runs are priced per project.

How it works

From first email to finished object.

Powder going on in the booth
In the booth.
  1. Tell me about the object: photos or drawings, what it's made of, what it needs to do, and when.

  2. I ask questions, and we talk through color and finish. Sometimes that means a test piece first.

  3. I send an approach and a price before anything starts.

  4. Drop it off on Vashon by appointment, or ship it in.

  5. I do the work and you get your object back. Shipping or pickup, either way.
